What this site knows about you
Privacy
Baylor's Hall of Extremes
Nothing, unless you post a score. No cookies, no analytics, no accounts, and no third-party requests on load.
The short version: nothing you do here is recorded unless you choose to put a score on one of the Game’s record boards, and then it is a username and a number. There are no cookies, no analytics, no accounts, and no advertising.
What this site does not do
- No cookies. The site sets none — not for analytics, not for preferences, not for anything. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
- No analytics or trackers. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Meta pixel, no heatmaps, no session recording.
- No accounts, forms or comments. The places you can type are the games, and what you type there never leaves your browser: it is checked against a list that was already on the page, and nothing is sent to me or to anyone else.
- Browser storage on the game pages, and nowhere else. The
Game saves your progress — which levels you have named, your time, and
whether sound is on — in
localStorageon your own device, so it is still there when you come back. It is not a cookie, it is never transmitted, and no page other than the games writes anything tolocalStorage, sessionStorageor IndexedDB. Pressing Reset, or clearing this site's data in your browser, erases it. If you tick Don’t ask me again on the Game’s notice, a second, separate item records that you accepted it: a version marker, nothing else. It is not sent anywhere either. - Browser storage on the Demondle page. Your guesses for
today’s puzzle and for the current Infinite round, which Infinite levels you
have already seen, your win counts, your streak, and whether sound is on, in
localStorageunder the keyhall-of-extremes.guess.v1on your own device. It is never transmitted, and clearing this site’s data in your browser erases it. - Browser storage on the GeometryGuessr page. Your best game (your
score and how many of the five demons you named), how many games you have played, whether
sound is on, and the username you last put on the board, if you have,
in
localStorageunder the keyhall-of-extremes.gg.v1on your own device. A game in progress is not saved. It is never transmitted, and clearing this site’s data in your browser erases it. The screenshots are images on this site, so loading them talks to this host and nobody else. - No advertising, and nothing sold or shared. Beyond the usernames people choose to post to a record board, I hold no personal data about visitors, and I do not sell or share those.
Third-party requests
Loading a page on this site makes requests to this site only. Typefaces and the animation library are served from here rather than from Google Fonts and a CDN, specifically so that visiting a page does not hand your IP address and browser details to a company you did not choose to contact.
There are exactly two exceptions, and both are opt-in:
- YouTube footage. Level pages show a Load video from
YouTube button instead of an embedded player. Nothing is requested
from YouTube until you press it. If you do press it, the player is loaded
from
youtube-nocookie.comand, from that point, YouTube receives your IP address and may process data under Google's privacy policy, which I do not control. If you never press it, YouTube never learns you were here.
- The record boards. Nothing is requested from the records service until you press Show records or Submit to records on the Game, or Show the board or Submit score on GeometryGuessr. All four are described below.
Links to Newgrounds, Pointercrate, AREDL, the Geometry Dash wikis, GDBrowser and YouTube are ordinary links. Following one takes you to a site with its own privacy practices.
The Game’s record boards
The Game has timed modes — 5, 10, 30 and 60 minutes — and each has a record board: the most levels named before the clock runs out. Putting a score on a board is optional. There are no accounts and no passwords.
The notice you accept first
Before the Game opens, a notice asks you to read this policy and to accept that the only way to have your records removed is to privately message @bperk on Discord or email hallofextremessupport@gmail.com. You must accept it to use the Game. If you press Deny, the Game stays closed and nothing is saved or sent; the rest of the site is unaffected. Accepting sends nothing by itself.
If you tick Don’t ask me again, your browser remembers that you
accepted, by keeping a short version marker in localStorage on your
device and nothing else. The marker is tied to the wording of this policy and of
the notice: if either changes, you will be asked again even if you ticked the
box. If you do not tick it, you are asked on every visit.
What is sent, and when
Playing sends nothing. Two buttons talk to the records service, and only when you press them: Show records fetches the four boards, and Submit to records sends:
- the username you typed;
- the mode, how many levels you named, and how far into the run you named the last one.
That is all of it. Each entry is stored as one line on the board for its mode, with the date it was submitted. Each board keeps its best 100; an entry that is pushed off the bottom is deleted. The entry is not linked to anything else. My code does not store or log your IP address, cookies or device details.
GeometryGuessr’s board
GeometryGuessr has one board: the best scores out of 5,000. Putting a score on it is optional and there is no notice to accept first; instead the box you type your username into says that it will be public and that the only way to have it removed is to privately message @bperk on Discord or email hallofextremessupport@gmail.com. Playing sends nothing. Show the board fetches the boards, and Submit score sends:
- the username you typed;
- your score, and how many of the five demons you named.
It is stored the same way as the Game’s entries: one line per username with the date, the best 100 kept, nothing else, and nothing about you logged.
Where it is kept
The records service runs on Cloudflare (Workers and KV). Cloudflare receives every request to it, which means it sees your IP address and browser details the way any host does, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. That makes it a third party, which is why nothing is requested until you press a button. Cloudflare runs a global network, so entries and requests may be stored and processed in countries other than yours.
What everyone can see
Anyone who presses Show records sees the username and the score of each entry near the top of each board. The date and the timing are stored but not shown. Nobody checks usernames or scores, and they are not private. Choose a username that is not your real name. Geometry Dash has many young players, so please do not use a name that identifies you or anyone else.
Removing an entry
The only way to have an entry removed or changed is to privately message @bperk on Discord or email hallofextremessupport@gmail.com, with the username and the mode. There is no form, no email route, and no account to delete it from. Because there are no accounts I cannot check who is asking, so I may decline a request that looks like an attempt to wipe someone else’s score. I may also remove an entry without being asked if it is abusive, impersonates someone, or identifies a real person who has not agreed to it.
Entries otherwise stay until removed. Clearing your browser’s data, or pressing Reset in the Game, only clears what is stored on your own device; it does not take anything off a board.
Server logs
This site is hosted as static files. Like effectively every web host, the host may keep short-lived server logs that include IP addresses, request times and user-agent strings, for security and operational reasons. I do not have access to those logs, do not analyse them, and cannot connect them to a person. While the site is served by GitHub Pages, GitHub's handling of that data is covered by the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA and similar laws, you have rights to access, correct, delete and port personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. The only thing this site holds about anyone is a username and score on a record board, and only if that person posted it. If a username identifies you, it is personal data and those rights apply to it. To see, correct or remove an entry, privately message @bperk on Discord or email hallofextremessupport@gmail.com, with the username and mode.
Children
This site is not directed at children. The only thing it accepts from anyone is a username for a record board, and the boards ask people not to use their real name. If an entry belongs to a child and should come down, privately message @bperk on Discord or email hallofextremessupport@gmail.com and it will be removed.
Changes
If this ever changes — if I add analytics, a comment box, or anything that processes visitor data — this page will be updated before that feature ships, and the date below will change with it.
